City Assessor
The City Assessor is responsible for maintaining an inventory of and appraising all property within the City limits. The City Assessor keeps track of all Homestead Exemptions and transfer of property. Additionally, it is the Assessor’s responsibility to convene the Board of Review in March.
Michael Richmond’s office hours are Wednesdays from 9 AM to 1 PM. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact City Hall at 269-685-6821.
To confirm with the City: Assessor hours: the Assessor page says Wednesdays 9 AM to 1 PM; the City Departments page says Wednesdays 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
If your business is closed or closing, you must contact the City Assessor at 269-685-6821 to have your name removed from the tax roll, so no additional taxes are assessed to the parcel.
City Treasurer
The City Treasurer directs the financial accounting, reporting and investment functions of the City. Assists in the preparation and maintenance of the annual budget and financial statements. The Treasurer also oversees tax and utility billing, collection and related reporting.
