Redeveloping the Plainwell Paper Mill site

The City bought the former Plainwell Paper Mill at 200 Allegan Street in 2006. City Hall moved into renovated sections of the mill in 2014, and a former mill structure was renovated into the headquarters of the Plainwell Department of Public Safety.

Phase 2 of the demolition was finished in 2022 with a $5.1 million grant from MEDC.
